Success in this role means balancing building for the future with managing the present, embedding

• Partner with leaders to build safety ownership and accountability at all levels.
Building Safety Systems & Readiness

seasonal support in Michigan.
• Ensure contractors and field teams operate in alignment with site safety expectations,
standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support safe planning and execution of exploration activities, including drilling, fieldwork,
and mobilization/demobilization.
• Monitor field conditions and adapt safety approaches to evolving risks and
environments.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
• Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective
actions are meaningful and sustainable.
• Capture and apply learnings from incidents, near misses, and field observations to continuously
strengthen safety practices.
• Track and analyze safety data to proactively identify trends and improvement
opportunities.

OSHA/MSHA requirements.

production.

interactions.
• Proactively embed OSHA/MSHA expectations into daily work practices and leadership behaviors.
Training & Engagement
• Develop and implement safety training programs to ensure employees and contractors are prepared,
informed, and aligned.

responsibility.
